OK! I've created a new sample flash version of my site to continue building my so called brand and to just show-case skill sets as well. It's not a completed piece but it's something to play around with in my spare time. » Flash

Success! The latest version of BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina (bcbsnc.com) homepage launched today. Simultaneously the redesign for our shopping Individuals section launched aligning the sales channel from our homepage. Very excited.

Recently, one of the most important issues in web design has been web standards and accessibility. Since 2004 I've been continually striving to develop using these strict web standards and always ensure usability and accessibility when I can. However I'll never be drawn away from my love of the presentation layer to the dark side of application development. Honestly! Presentation is everything and there's just to much to look at on the outside.

Finally, my previous site design has been retired to the web grave yard which I like to call "archives". (C-ya' fella!) Although I've been fortunate enough to find a few hours of down time in my fluctuating schedule to actually redesign my site, it's not complete! I'm glad I've managed to get around to this point though, as my last design was coded using minimal CSS. I've gone completely table-less in this redesign to better showcase my skills for those table-less fans out there.

Under the sheets, I coded for compliance with web standards, basically saying it is built according to W3C recommendations for accessibility by separating structure from style through the respective use of XHTML and CSS. This allows the site's content to be accessible to a wide variety of devices.

This purpose of Cordlesspaper.com is to enable me to play unrestricted with design and code. Working for companies, you have many constraints on what you do. Corporate branding, colors and imagery dictate many aspects of your creativity. I really don't expect anyone other than my friends, family and occasional web surfer to visit my site. So I don't expect anyone reading my site to find it revolutionary or enlightening.
